Trifextra: Week Twenty-Five

Welcome back; we've missed you!  We are enjoying our busy summers, but are looking forward to sinking our literary teeth into your longer works next week.  Don't forget, you have until Thursday July 26th at 8pm EST to submit your pieces.  Between 333 and 3,333 words on any subject that you'd like.  But don't worry, we've got a challenge for you this weekend, too.

Forty-three years ago today, Neil Armstrong became the first person to ever walk on the moon.  In celebration of Moon Day we want you to write 33 words about someone who took a giant leap.  It can mean whatever you'd like, just make sure you write exactly 33 words.

Good luck and we'll see you back Monday.

  1. At first, I wasn't too motivated by the prompt but after I thought about it a while, it was easy to choose my subject. Please excuse my formatting issues, they were not an oversight, just, new blogger technophopia.

    1. I fear that technophobia is not the right word for my malady. I don't fear technolology, I am impatient with it. I tried several times to edit my post after I published it, but I couldn't find a way to do it. Is there a word for impatience with technololgy?

    2. Waves hi. I have no idea how to edit in blogger. I didn't have any trouble reading yours though :) In wordpress, there's a little button near the top of the screen. When I'm cutting and pasting from Word, I use the paste from Word button (again, this is a Wordpress thing, if you're in blogger, I don't know if it's an option) or else I paste into the HTML format window, which strips out a lot of idiot formatting that will screw things around.

    3. Thanks for the tips. It's a little overwhelming. I like writing, not pushing buttons. Anyway, I figured out the word for my malady: techno-impaired.

    4. We're glad you found your inspiration! And that you conquered the techno-impairment to join us.

    1. Speaking of competition. You oughta be a fly on the wall at my house whenever my son and I both do the same prompt. Holy hell. You can just feel the tension radiating off that kid. It's madness LOL!

    2. Sorry to cause tension in your home, but thanks for letting us benefit from it. Can we get any other family members in on it?
