Trifecta: Week Thirty-Seven

Community-judged weekends always seem to come at just the right time around here: when the competition is at its finest and when the editors are at their busiest.  This weekend was no exception, and it comes with a story (and a picture).

But first, the winners from this weekend's challenge.  Trudging Through Fog took first place with the following piece.

A cat once pursued a lion.
“What do you want, little one?”
“To be loved by you.”
“Ah,” said the lion, “Excellent.” And he ate her up, whiskers and all, with great delight.

Old Dog New Tits took second and Ruby Manchanda, Uneven Steven and Rather the Couch make up a three way tie for third.  Which is, of course, how we like it if we have to have a tie.

Now, for a story and this week's prompt.  As you may know from our bios, one of the Trifecta editors lives in Hong Kong and the other in Oregon.  Despite maintaining an almost constant flow of conversation, they'd never actually met in real life.  Until now.
