Trifecta: Week Forty-Three

Thanks to all of those who submitted and voted on this weekend's thirty-third Trifextra.  This weekend's challenge was, as you know, judged by the community.

Coming in first place was Trudging Through Fog with Possibilities.
The dead man’s eyes stared.
“They want to kill you,” said Jax. “They want to frame you. Or they want to win you back.”
I shuddered. “I don’t know which frightens me more.”
Second place goes to Brain Tomahawk for his witty piece, Three Tines.  Taking third place this week is Lumdog with The Triplets.  Congratulations to all of our winners, and thank you to everyone who took the time to comment and vote.  This site would, quite literally, be nothing without all of you.

Thanks, too, to those of you who took the time to leave a comment on last week's critique.  We have a new one up, so please head over to check it out and leave some feedback there, too.

Moving on to the weekly challenge.  This week we're digging into the brains of our community, and going with one of the words suggested by Old Dog, New Tits.  If you haven't linked up with our Meet Your Fellow Trifectans tab, please do.

This week's word is:

AMPLE (adj.)

1: generous or more than adequate in size, scope, or capacity<there was room for an ample garden>
2: generously sufficient to satisfy a requirement or need<they had ample money for the trip>
3: buxom, portly <an ample figure>

Please remember:
  • Your response must be between 33 and 333 words.
  • You must use the 3rd definition of the given word in your post.
  • The word itself needs to be included in your response.
  • You may not use a variation of the word; it needs to be exactly as stated above.
  • Only one entry per writer.
Have fun!
